Getting to Macao

By Air

Helicopters – Sky Shuttle Helicopters Limited (Sky Shuttle) provides services connecting the Macau and Hong Kong Ferry Terminals. Flight duration is only 16 minutes.

By Sea

High-speed ferries to four locations in Hong Kong (Tsimshatsui, Sheung Wan, Tuen Mun and Hong Kong International Airport) depart every 15 – 30 minutes and travel time is approximately 60 minutes. There are also services to and from Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Jiangmen.

By Land

Macau has two border checkpoints with Mainland China: the Barrier Gate and the COTAI Frontier Post. The Barrier Gate operates from 7:00 AM to midnight. The COTAI Frontier Post at the Taipa-Coloane Reclaimed Area operates from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The Kee Kwan Motor Road Co. offers an air-conditioned bus service between Macau and major cities in the Guangdong province from 7:15 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Buses depart from the bus stop near the Master Hotel (at the end of Av. Almeida Ribeiro and Rua das Lorchas). Tel: (853) 2893 3888.

Visas

All visitors to Macao must hold a passport or a valid travel document. Please note that the validity of these documents must not be less than 30 days since the day you enter Macau.
