Introduction of Macao Pavilion

This year, the Macao Pavilion is designed with the concept of “Ecosphere — A Mobile View.” As you walk pass the reception desk and move upstairs, you will find yourself standing in a raised VIP networking lounge overseeing an entire ecosphere from atop. The box-like display at the Innovative Eco-tech Zone resembles ecological observation boxes, where visitors can enjoy the display as if observing the wonderful wetland habitat. Booths of government departments are decorated with circles of green lines, coupled with oriented strand boards as backboard, imitates a scene of having migratory birds hiding in bushes. There are several greenhouse-like glass rooms on the grass decorated with plenty of plants, and this is our business matching area. With a semi-open design, the area ensures that conversations will not be interrupted and that business negotiations can be carried out comfortably in an unconfined space with a sense of mobility. A walk along the grass carpet to the end of the pavilion will lead you to the signing center, an open area with circles of green and white chairs making the area vivid.

The principal grass-green and earthy colour tone of the pavilion integrates elements of modern exhibitions into ecospheres. The designers hope the mobile view could promote the concept of “Shaping Eco-Cities for Inclusive Green Economy” to the public through the Green Showcase.

The Eco-Concept in Booth Design

This year, recyclable materials such as iron, aluminum alloys, and LED screens comprise the main structure of the pavilion. Environmentally-friendly and energy-saving lightings, compound furniture made of oriented strand boards, and green plants have been used to decorate the booth.
