Emerging Opportunities for Green Purchasing in Macao |

Green purchasing is considered an important element in the implementation of green consumption and the cultivation of an environmentally-friendly and low carbon society. As one of MIECF's Host Co-ordinators, the Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) will feature green purchasing as a highlight at the Macao Pavilion at 2014MIECF, promoting information exchange on green purchasing between Macao and the world.
To continuously promote green purchasing, DSPA has expanded the scope of the "Suggestions for Products' Green Specifications" from 50 to 80 products. The scope covers stationery, office supplies, electronics, cleaning products, hygiene products, water-saving products, furniture for homes and offices, construction materials, toys and more. The guidelines not only serve as a valuable reference for the community in their purchase decisions, but also bring plenty of business opportunities to the environmental industry. |
