The Institute of European Studies of Macau (IEEM) was created in 1995 as part of the government strategy which aims at promoting the internationalization of Macao and the training of senior staff, having in view the liaison with Europe. The IEEM is a private organization endowed with legal personality, and at present its partners are public organizations: the S.A.R. Government of Macau, the University of Macau, the Polytechnic Institute of Macau, Macau Foundation, Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute; and Macau Monetary Authority. IEEM provides Master of Art and European language courses, regular seminars on Architecture Culture Environment, workshops on European topics and Study Mission to Europe to promote academic and cultural exchange between Europe and Macau. The Business Cooperation Centre of Enterprise Europe Network Central China Macao Office (EENCC Macao Office), is dedicated to serve the SMEs in Macao, China as well as other Asian regions the information needs about the European Union and European markets as well as the opportunities presented in Europe. The Centre also acts as a platform to facilitate the business cooperation and technological exchange between the European and Chinese enterprises. | |
