Mr. José Amaral

Director of Operations, Valorcar (Portugal)

Mr. José Amaral has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Lisbon Technical University. He has been working in Valorcar since 2004, helping to improve the Portuguese national infrastructure for end of life vehicles and used batteries recycling. Since 2018, he has been nominated the Director of Operations. Among other duties, Mr. Amaral has the responsibility of defining and implementing strategies for improving material circularity of challenging automotive materials and components, such as plastics and EV batteries.
