Dr. Kang Qu

Vice President of Hong Kong Green Finance Association, Managing Director of Sustainability Strategy Bank of China (Hong Kong)

Dr Kang Qu currently holds the role of Managing Director of Sustainability Strategy, Deputy General Manager of the Economics & Strategic Planning Department, and Deputy Dean of the Hong Kong Financial Research Institute, Bank of China. In 2006, Dr Qu joined the Bank of China Limited London Branch as head of the research and strategic planning team, overseeing macro-economic research of the EMEA region, leading ESG strategy planning and implementation for the Bank of China’s business in the UK, and engaging in ESG strategic development for Bank of China Group. Dr Qu also represented the Group in different international organisations. In addition, Dr Qu is also a member of the Board of Directors of the China International Finance Society and a member of the Data Working Group led by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
