Mr. Walter Leung, Chief Engineer of Sewerage Projects Division, Drainage Services Department Mr. Leung Wing Yuen, Walter is a Civil Engineer, a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Mr. Leung was involved in a number of large-scale infrastructure projects including new town developments, Chek Lap Kok new airport site preparation works and West Kowloon reclamation, and has an extensive engineering knowledge and experience. Mr. Leung joined the Hong Kong SAR Government as a Civil Engineer in Civil Engineering and Development Department in 1994. In 2012, he was posted to the Drainage Services Department and took up the post of Chief Engineer of Sewerage Projects Division in 2017, responsible for the development and implementation of sewerage and sewage treatment facilities. At present, the major projects under the management of Mr. Leung include the expansion of sewage treatment works in Shek Wu Hui, Yuen Long and Tai Po; relocation of the Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to the caverns; and construction of village sewerage in the New Territories and outlying islands. |
