Senior Environmental Protection Officer (Waste Reduction and Community Recycling) of the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department

Mr. Kwan Yau Kit currently serves as Senior Environmental Protection Officer (Waste Reduction and Community Recycling) of the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department.

Mr. Kwan majored in chemical engineering and started his career providing advisory services on environmental protection and sustainable development to industry stakeholders of public organisations. In 2014, he officially joined the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department. In the initial phase of his tenure, he was primarily responsible for the management of environmental regulations and the planning of environmental infrastructure facilities. Presently, Mr. Kwan focuses on the management of the “GREEN@COMMUNITY” project, dedicated to promoting community waste reduction and recycling through cost-effective operational models.
