| 14:00 - 18:00 | Session 1 2nd Global Carbon Credit Market Development Forum Sicily Meeting Room The forum is closely aligned with the transformation of the global carbon market and the implementation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. It focuses on how green financial innovation, ESG investment, and cross-border financial connectivity can empower high-quality carbon credit markets and the development of low-carbon, zero-waste cities. Leveraging Macao's unique advantage as a gateway between China and the world and its strategic positioning as a ‘Green Cooperation Bridge’ between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, the forum convenes governments, enterprises, financial institutions, international organizations and, think tanks. Together, these stakeholders explore global voluntary carbon markets, digital carbon finance innovation and low-carbon urban practices. The forum aims to support the development of high-standard carbon markets and attract clusters of high-end industries, such as green technology and carbon services. By establishing the ‘Explore Carbon Solutions in Macao, Connect Globally’ platform, we provide a collaborative space for global participants to jointly advance the development of low-carbon, zero-waste cities and the global climate governance process. |
